COMMUNICATION / TRUST

Trust is designed, not implied.

Reliable systems are made from explicit identities, transport boundaries, policy and evidence—not confidence in an unfamiliar wire format.

01 / THE SUBJECT

Alchemy secure communications work spans native HTTPS, XTP, mail protocols, RPC dispatch, authentication, cryptographic governance and service boundaries.

01 / 03

Separate transport from authority

Encrypted transport can protect a connection, but it does not decide whether an actor may perform an operation. Authentication, authorisation, revocation and auditing remain independent requirements.

  • Cryptographic identity
  • Authorised operations
  • Evidence and revocation
02 / 03

Multiple paths, one service meaning

XTP work spans network layers; Connect Selector explores direct calls, RPC and Queue Fabric. Services must preserve their semantics across transports, rather than giving every protocol a separate business implementation.

  • XTP over multiple network carriers
  • Connector-neutral service contracts
  • Explicit RPC registration and dispatch
03 / 03

Protocols should be testable

TLS, SSH gateways, SMTP/IMAP and secure service endpoints need real negative testing, lifecycle management and recoverability. Development contracts should not be mistaken for commissioned production guarantees.

  • Fail-closed unknown authority
  • Service identity and key lifecycle
  • Independent protocol acceptance
